What Data We Store About You

When you create an account with Storey's in the Dirt, we store:

• Account Information: Email address, name, account preferences
• Purchase History: Orders, digital products purchased, course enrollments
• Reading History: Blog posts read, bookmarks, saved articles
• Interests: Topics you follow, newsletter preferences
• Communication Preferences: Email notifications, SMS opt-ins (if enabled)
• Phone Number: Only if you verified your phone for SMS notifications

We do NOT store:

• Passwords (we use magic link authentication - passwordless login)
• Credit card details (payment processing handled securely by Stripe)
• Social media account connections (users do not connect social media)
• Tracking data beyond basic analytics

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Self-Service Deletion (Recommended)

1. Log in to your account at storeysinthedirt.com/auth/signin
2. Navigate to Account Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete My Account"
4. Confirm deletion
5. Your account and data will be permanently deleted within 24 hours

Option 2: Request Deletion via Contact Form

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion manually, use the form below:

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

• Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you cannot log in
• Within 24 hours: All personal data is permanently deleted from our database
• Within 30 days: All backups containing your data are purged

Data Retained for Legal/Business Purposes:

• Purchase receipts (required for tax purposes - 7 years)
• Order history (anonymized - no personal identifiers)
• Customer service communications (if required for legal disputes)

SMS Opt-Out (Without Account Deletion)

If you only want to stop receiving SMS messages but keep your account:

• Reply STOP to any SMS from us
• Or update your preferences at Account → Notifications

Email Unsubscribe (Without Account Deletion)

If you only want to stop receiving emails but keep your account:

• Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email from us
• Or update your preferences at Account → Notifications
